5 must-watch Chicago Bears defensive players in preseason opener
4. Keith Randolph
The Bears are not only looking for big steps up from some young starters on their interior defensive line depth chart, they also are relying on a few key names to fill in as depth. Right now, they have Andrew Billings, Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens. They will need a fourth interior rusher to make the roster. They do not have great options.
Michael Dwumfour and Byron Cowart have NFL experience, but both spent last year on the practice squad. Keith Randolph is a rookie with potential, but he was a UDFA for a reason. Still, he has enough of an athletic profile, and he has the size that is intriguing. Of the three, Bears fans should be rooting for Randolph to flash the most because he has the highest ceiling.
Randolph should get plenty of playing time starting in week one. How will he look in his jump to the NFL?
