2. Greg Stroman Jr.

An underrated training camp competition will be the backup slot job. Last year, Josh Blackwell had a hold of that job. He filed in for Kyler Gordon when Gordon went down as a rookie and he looked good. However, last year Blackwell got injured and lost that job to Greg Stroman.

Stroman is a veteran who had multiple season-ending injuries, but he is finally back and was playing well when Gordon was out. So, the team is sticking with him as the backup slot for now.

Still, this is something that should be sorted out. Gordon is now in a spot where we do not need to see much from him. He will play a quarter of the snaps this preseason, which should give both Stroman and Blackwell plenty of work. Gordon has missed time in each of his two NFL seasons, so who wins this job is important. Fans should have eyes on the slot in the preseason.
