5 must-watch offensive players in Chicago Bears preseason opener
3. Larry Borom
The Hall of Fame game may be one last chance for Larry Borom to prove he belongs, whether that be with the Chicago Bears or in the NFL in general. Borom got to start at times in each of the past two years due to injuries ahead of him. Unfortunately for him, that only highlighted that he may not be ready for the NFL.
The Bears went out of their way to replace him, adding rookie Kiran Amegadije and veteran Jake Curhan to the mix. Curhan has experience with Shane Waldron and Amegadije was drafted by Waldron, so both have a coaching connection over Borom.
Amegadije is on the NFI list and is unlikely to suit up in the Hall of Fame. Braxton Jones will probably start but will not play beyond the first drive or two. This should leave Larry Borom the majority of the game.
Did he improve from last year? Does he feel the pressure from the offseason additions? Borom is going to need to prove himself this week, and fans should be watching.
