4. The Chicago Bears edge rushers look solid

Remember when the talk all summer was about what the Bears were going to do at edge rusher? To be fair, they did add Darrell Taylor, but that appears to be all that they needed at this point. This group looks legitimate.

The Bears rank fourth in the NFL in pressure rate. That is despite ranking 29th in blitz rate. They are getting pressure with four often. This comes from their group on the edges. Montez Sweat has the same pressure rate this year as he did last season. He has two sacks in the last two weeks. DeMarcus Walker had a 10.8% pressure rate last year, and that is up to 17.3%. He is being put in more advantageous situations and while the sacks are not showing, anyone watching him can see this is the best he has looked in a Bears uniform.

Darrell Taylor has two sacks including a strip sack that was monumental in the team beating Tennessee in week one. His presence has also allowed the team to get the most from Walker. Lastly, the addition of Austin Booker has added someone who can give a few high-energy pass-rush snaps. He has been fun to watch in his limited work. All four are arguably playing better than fans thought just a month or two ago.
