3. The Chicago Bears wide receivers will be better
When Caleb Williams was drafted by the Bears, the thought was that there had never been a better spot for a top overall pick to land. The Bears did not have a roster that earned the number one pick and they made big moves in the offseason to make life easier for Williams. With D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, and Keenan Allen, Williams was supposed to be dropped into a great spot.
Moore has lived up to his name, but Allen and Odunze have not. That is fair, Allen is aging and missed the second game with an injury. Odunze is a rookie and hardly practiced this week before being able to suit up. Odunze caught just two passes for 33 yards, but you would assume a rookie who hardly practiced would not be setting the world on fire.
Again, this is a unit that could look drastically different in week eight when Odunze is up to speed, and Allen is healthy and not rusty. It is hard to judge the receiving core when one player is out and the other is a shell of himself. Let's give this group some time before we panic.
