5 reasons for Chicago Bears to stay optimistic after the slow start
4. Rome Odunze is coming alive
Through two weeks, Rome Odunze had three catches for 44 yards. In Week 2, fans saw Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. break out, so the talk started to surround Odunze. His response was everything you wanted to see.
Odunze hauled in 6 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. It was, unfortunately, on 11 targets.
Fans need to step back and remember that this is Williams’ third NFL game, throwing to Odunze. It takes time to build chemistry and you cannot understand how to do it within the speed of the game until you are actually playing.
