4. Chicago Bears should be able to win upfront
One of the biggest reasons to maintain positivity is that beyond the secondary, the pass rush looks better. They are blitzing less, but getting a lot more pressure than they were last season.
Gervon Dexter Sr. looks better, and the addition of Darrell Taylor has not only added a trusted pass-rushing option but also pushed DeMarcus Walker into a role where he is able to win more from the inside. This group is good and with the secondary being established this is officially one of the league's best defenses on paper.
The Rams' offensive line is starting to get some names and continuity, but they are shuffling a lot still. Their left tackle spot should be settled on Alaric Jackson, who will make his second start, but they have already had four names take snaps at left tackle this year.
Rob Havenstein will make his third start at right tackle, but he missed the first week and while Kevin Doston is their stability at right guard, he looks to be playing through an injury.
Lastly, they are starting a rookie sixth-round pick at center and they are onto their third option at left guard. Logan Bruss will make his second start there next week. There is a lot going on here.
Andrew Billings should shut down the run against this interior. The Bears should consistently beat five with four in this game. This should help the Bears linebackers focus on the backs and tight ends coming out of the backfield in the passing game.
