Week 3 has quickly become a huge game for the Chicago Bears. The team sits at 1-1, but they have not played good football offensively in any way through the first two games. Now, they sit at a crossroads where they can get over .500 and start to play their game, or they could fall below .500 which may be a sign of things to come. If Bears fans want to see a win, what do they need to see from their team against the Indianapolis Colts in week three?

The Chicago Bears have to get the run game going

The Bears run game has been nothing short of abysmal in the first two weeks. D’Andre Swift leads the way with 24 carries for 48 yards and the team has hardly got another runner involved. Some of this has to do with who they have played, some on the offensive line, but the bottom line is this needs to improve. If it is not against the Colts, we have serious issues.

The Colts have faced two solid rushing attacks, but they have been shredded on the ground so far. Joe Mixon had 30 carries for 159 yards to open the season and Josh Jacobs followed that up with 32 carries for 151 yards. Now, this unit is without their best defender, DeForest Buckner.

Swift has fewer carries in two games than these teams had in one game against the Colts. It shows that the Bears have to switch up their style to win this game. They cannot give up on the ground game and their leading rusher cannot be averaging 12 carries per game. We have to see the run game improve.
