6 Chicago Bears who are key to a victory over the Texans
Andrew Billings, DT
I am a huge Andrew Billings fan. He is one of the most underrated defensive tackles in the league in my opinion. Well, last week he made his presence known in both the run game and as a pass-rusher. In 2023, Billings recorded three pressures all season. He had three pressures in Week 1 alone this year. Wow.
If Billings continues to play the way he did last week, the league better be on notice. He doesn't need to be that big of a presence as a pass rusher against the Texans this week, but the Bears are going to need him to step up against the run.
Chicago did a decent job stopping the run last week outside of one drive. That one drive was a big one though seeing it led to a touchdown by Tony Pollard. That said, the team fixed the problem and held Pollard to only 82 rushing yards. Mixon brings an even tougher test though. Against Indianapolis last week, Mixon finished with 159 rushing yards on 30 carries -- the most in the league after one week. He also caught all three of his targets for an additional 19 yards.
The Bears cannot have one poor drive this week though. They need to start and finish strong.
