Aaron Rodgers can't help but take a subtle shot at the Chicago Bears
More than a year has passed since the Green Bay Packers traded quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, but given the inflated ego that Rodgers has, he has made a habit out of not only keeping up with the goings on of the NFC North but sharing his opinion on it.
While appearing on Pardon My Take earlier this week, Rodgers was asked about the new look Bears as teams prepare for the 2024 NFL season.
"Yeah, I do" when asked if he think Caleb Williams will be successful in the NFL but stopped short of saying the Bears' defense has what it takes to beat Jordan Love and his former team. "I like [D'Andre] Swift, I like [Keenan] Allen, I like the receiver from Washington [Rome Odunze]," Rodgers said. And of course, you've still got DJ [Moore]. "I think that team is almost good enough to beat the Packers."

Rodgers has yet to play a full game with the Jets, so he has had nothing but time on his hands to keep up with both the Packers and the Bears. Bears fans may not want to hear this, but Rodgers is right.
With Caleb Williams having yet to play a game for the Bears, the Packers have the edge over Chicago entering the 2024 season. But, that could be quickly erased if Williams has success in the NFL right away. The biggest difference between the Bears and Packers at the moment is the quarterback position. Jordan Love was the NFL's best quarterback during the second half of the season.
But here is the kicker in all of this: Both the Bears and Packers will likely have a better record than the Jets when the 2024 season is over.
