Trade Number 2: The Cowboys give Chicago a long-term WR option, plus a pick

The Dallas Cowboys are another team that's been tossed out there in connection with Johnson, and he would make this defense even stronger than it already is. The Cowboys lost Trevon Diggs for the season, but Stephon Gilmore and Daron Bland have stepped up to the plate. Bland, specifically, is a walking, talking, pick-six, while Gilmore is a former Defensive Player of the Year.

Dallas has some depth at wide receiver behind CeeDee Lamb, and the Bears could look at asking for Michael Gallup to pair with D.J. Moore. Gallup is in the second season of a five-year deal he signed, and that contract is actually a modest one (5 years, $57 million).

JJ trade 2

Adding Gallup and giving the Bears a solidified WR2 next to Moore for years to come is an attractive thought. Plus, the Bears also get a third-round pick in 2024.

Yes, this seems like a steep price for the Cowboys to pay. But, again, all three of these deals would be labeled under the "hard to resist" category. They might not come to fruition, but Chicago would have to pull the trigger if they did.
