Bears vs Bills preseason Week 1: 5 players with the most at stake
The Chicago Bears' second preseason game in 2024 will be the first time we get to see Caleb Williams and the starters run the offense. However, that will only be a brief portion of the game, and there are no huge implications other than it being his first time going through everything.
Some players on the roster have real things at stake, such as their starting job or roster status. So, while many fans are watching the stars, who are the lesser-known names that know this is their most important game of the year?
5. Dominique Robinson
This will be one of the bigger games of Dominique Robinson’s career. He is now in the third year of his career, so the project label and the patience tags around his name are gone. He actually got worse from his rookie to sophomore season, so the team did what they could to make sure they did not rely him on this year.
Jacob Martin and Austin Booker are expected to make the team as the backups, so Robinson would only make the team if they felt enticed to keep a fifth. They would only feel enticed if they saw him do something that called for it.
Robinson played 15 snaps in the Hall of Fame game and showed nothing. If he continues to do that, he will probably end up on the practice squad because no team will take a shot at him league-wide. It could be that bad. Will he flash anything?
