There's no denying the Chicago Bears are in the middle of a nightmare season.

They'll be seeking their first win on Thursday Night Football against the Washington Commanders and if you want my best bet for the game, check out this week's edition of the "Road to 272 Bets".

In this article, we're talking player prop bets. It's the prime time game, so we can't just stick to one bet, right?

Bears vs. Commanders prop bets

  • Khalil Herbert OVER 46.5 rushing yards (-110)
  • Yannick Ngakoue OVER 0.5 sacks (+120)
  • Antonio Gibson UNDER 17.5 rushing yards (-114)

Khalil Herbert OVER 46.5 rushing yards (-110)

The Bears rushing attack has been effective this season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry while Khalil Herbert himself has averaged 4.8. Now, he and the Bears get to take on a Washington Commanders defense that has struggled to stop the run. They rank 26th in opponent yards per carry, allowing teams to gain 4.5 yards per rush against them.

That sets Herbert up to have a big game on Thursday night.

Yannick Ngakoue OVER 0.5 sacks (+120)

Yannick Ngakoue is the only player on the Bears to get a full sack so far this season, so I'm going to go ahead and bet on him to record a second one on Thursday night. No team has allowed more sacks than the Commanders, who have allowed a staggering 6.0 sacks per game.

The Bears will get to the quarterback in this game and I'll wager on Ngakoue recording one himself.

Antonio Gibson UNDER 17.5 rushing yards (-114)

Antonio Gibson has only carried the ball a total of 13 times this season, so I have no hesitation in betting on him to record fewer than 17.5 rushing yards on Thursday night. It also helps the Bears have done a respectable job in stopping the run this season, ranking 10th in opponent yards per carry (3.8).
