Two of the next three games for the Chicago Bears will come against the Detroit Lions, the first of which will take place this Sunday in Michigan.

Justin Fields is expected to make his first start in a month, but even with that being a case, the Bears are set as significant underdogs against the Lions. With that being said, I actually think the Bears can pull off the upset. Yes, I'm calling my shot. Chicago will upset Detroit on Sunday.

Let's take a peak at the odds and then I'll break down why I like the Bears to win their fourth game of the season.

Bears vs. Lions odds

I'm not going to sit here and make the argument the Bears are the better team in this matchup, but as we know as football fans, the better team isn't always the one that wins.

The Lions have some red flag they should be concerned about, especially on the defensive side of the football. They rank in the bottom half of the NFL in opponent EPA/Play, opponent success rate, and opponent yards per play.

Let's also recognize how improved the Bears have been recently, especially defensively. Early in the season Justin Fields had to try to lift the Bears to victory while his defense has a dumpster fire on a weekly basis. Now, they're seventh in the NFL in opponent yards per play over each team's last three games, giving up just 4.7 yards per snap.

Now, Fields gets to return to a much improved team to face a Lions team with a subpar defense. I think the Bears are going to pull off the biggest upset of the week.
