Bettor places massive wager on Bears to win Super Bowl

The Chicago Bears are hoping to take a step forward in the 2023 season under Justin Fields, and one bettor thinks they’ll do more than just that. 

A bettor at Caesars Sportsbook wagered $5,000 on the Bears to win Super Bowl 58 at +5000 odds. 

The Bears have finished in last place in the division in six of the last 10 seasons, but they could be on the rise with Fields establishing himself as a strong dual-threat quarterback. 

After bringing in DJ Moore this offseason after trading the No. 1 pick, can the Bears make the leap that this bettor hopes?

The Bears actually have lower odds to win the Super Bowl at FanDuel Sportsbook (+6000) to win the Super Bowl than this bettor was able to get them at. 

I could understand Bears fans wanting to sprinkle a little something on their team to win it all, but $5,000 on this team is a little rich for my blood. 

The Bears need their defense to improve in the 2023 season, and they have to hope that the addition of Moore will jumpstart the team’s passing game. 

The team also let running back David Montgomery walk, which means D’Onta Foreman and Khalil Herbert will lead the backfield in 2023. 

A wager on the Bears is a massive vote in confidence in Fields, who I do think can be a solid quarterback. That being said, asking the Bears to win this division may be a tall task in 2023, so the Super Bowl isn’t exactly a realistic goal – unless the team takes an insane step forward this coming season.
