4. The Chicago Bears leading running back will be Khalil Herbert

The Chicago Bears come into their matchup with the Detroit Lions as one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL. The Lions come into the game with an above average rushing defense, but they have also played a weak schedule.

When they played the Baltimore Ravens, the team ran all over Detroit and scored 38 points. That is the only rushing attack that can compare to Chicago that Detroit has faced this year. One thing to note from that game is Justice Hill having four rushes for 45 yards, including a 27-yard run.

For the Ravens, Gus Edwards would be their D’onta Foreman, and Hill would be their Khalil Herbert. One is the power and straight-ahead runner, one is the speed back.

When you look at the Lions they are built to defend the run because of how much power they have. With Isaiah Buggs, Benito Jones, Jack Campbell, Derrick Barnes, and Alex Anzalone, they have a lot of intense, downhill run defenders.

However, they lack speed to the sidelines, especially in their linebacker corps. That is why Herbert may be able to get one on them.

Herbert almost returned from the IR last week, but the team held him out to make sure he was completely healthy and rested for this game. They will mix in Foreman with Herbert, but a big run or two by Herbert will put him above Foreman after a strong run of games by Foreman.
