1. The Chicago Bears will have a chance to beat the Detroit Lions late

The Chicago Bears opened as 10.5-point underdogs and now are down to around eight on the line. That is a lot of the factors that we have mentioned coming into play. The Bears are coming off of a longer rest, while the Lions are coming back from the West Coast.

The Bears are getting healthier on defense, they are upgrading their playmakers, and they are getting their better quarterback into the game. The Chicago Bears may not win this game, but they are going to make it close. 

If you remember, a lot of the issue with Justin Fields over the years has been that he cannot close out the game or pull off that game-winning drive, 

Against both Tampa Bay and Denver, he had drives to win the game and could not complete them. If the Bears are 5-5 or even 4-6 due to wins in those games, the line may be different. 

Expect Fields to have a chance to win or tie the game late, just like two of the first four games of the season when they started 0-4. Whether he pulls it off, we will see, but he has been known to keep his team in the game, and the Lions may not be able to pull away on the Bears' run defense. The Bears will stay within the spread this week.
