2. Are there changes to the Chicago Bears edge rotation?

Last weekend, the edge rusher rotation was telling. Yannick Ngakoue and DeMarcus Walker did not play at all, ensuring their status. Walker was injured as well, but his status is locked. Then, Rasheem Green and Dominique Robinson started and played sparingly. It showed that they are clearly the backups and have a great shot to make the team.

Then, Trevis Gipson and Terrell Lewis came on and got a heavy workload, clearly showing that they are fighting to earn a roster spot. Now, the issue is that Gipson and Lewis excelled. Do they move up? Who moves down? The Bears did not give Robinson and Green a strong enough look to move either down, as they prefer those two after weeks of OTAs and training camp.

Trevis Gipson did a great job of keeping his name in the conversation, but he did not lock a spot down. If the Bears give him limited work this weekend, it actually may be a good sign for him. If he has to do the same thing, work every snap against backups and third strings, it may just be a showcase to trade.
