Pick No. 61: The Chicago Bears should have drafted Riley Moss

It is obvious that the Chicago Bears like long, athletic cornerbacks. Tyrique Stevenson is over 6'0" tall and just a tick under 200 pounds. He finished the 2022 season with two interceptions. Stevenson only allowed 17 of 40 targets to be completed. That is a 42.5% completion percentage. The year prior, Stevenson allowed a 51% completion percentage.

In comparison, Riley Moss is 6'1" and 193 pounds. He only had one interception in 2022, but he had four in 2021. Moss allowed 47.7% of his targets to be completed in 2022 and 53.5% in 2021. Riley Moss went 84th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft and would have been a solid option in the third round if Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus wanted to lock down a solid cornerback prospect.

If you are wondering about his athleticism, Moss scored a higher mark on his RAS scorecard than Tyrique Stevenson. Stevenson had an elite score of 8.93, but Moss had an elite score of 9.68. Both project as outside corners and both have takeaway upside. Moss would have fit in well in Chicago too.
