Pick No. 133: The Chicago Bears should have drafted Tyler Scott

Another pick that Ryan Poles got correct. I loved the idea of still selecting a wide receiver in this draft. I constantly took one in my mock drafts leading up to the draft too. That said, I don't think I came away with Tyler Scott too often, if even at all. The way the board shook out though, only Kayshon Boutte intrigued me at this point in the draft. Scott is easily the better option -- especialy for Justin Fields.

If there is anything about Justin Fields' passing attack that should excite Chicago Bears fans, it is his deep ball. Too many times we saw guys like Dante Pettis and Velus Jones, Jr. dropping deep throws. Tyler Scott has some concentration drops too, but he has speed to truly separate. His touchdown grabs last season averaged over 45 yards per catch.

The Chicago Bears did a solid job adding some potential weapons for Justin Fields this offseason. D.J. Moore is obviously the prize, but giving Fields a pass-blocker like Darnell Wright, another receiver with the speed of Tyler Scott and then another running back like Roschon Johnson should help Fields succeed.
