Chicago Bears trade down with Houston

The next five on the board:
Blake Freeland
Luke Wypler
Tucker Kraft
Derick Hall
Kayshon Boutte

With mock drafts, I don't seek out trading partners. I look at what other teams are offering the Chicago Bears, and if the deal looks good and I have multiple players on the board that I can still draft, I take the bait. The Houston Texans wanted to move up. They wanted Blake Freeland, and I saw Tucker Kraft, Derick Hall, Drew Sanders, Zach Charbonnet, and Zach Harrison were still on the board, so I accepted the trade.

The beauty of the Bears owing the first pick for day three is they can make a trade decision because they own the start of the draft that day. I took full advantage of it, moved back 10 spots, and acquired #73, #161, and #188. I wonder if this would be the exact trade that would happen, considering the Texans had back-to-back picks, but maybe they wanted both players that badly.

Chicago Bears Draft Pick No. 73: Zach Harrison, DE

The next five on the board:
Drew Sanders
Noah Sewell
Daiyan Henley
Zach Charbonnet
Henry To'oTo'o

Drew Sanders is still on the board, but so are a ton of linebackers. I know the Chicago Bears, to the untrained eye, don't look like they need linebackers, but they do. The depth behind Edmunds and Edwards isn't very long. It's one person. Either way, I couldn't justify taking Sanders here, but if he is still on the board next pick, you better bet your sweet Bear fandom I will. The 3T position still needs to be addressed properly for the Chicago Bears fans. It may or may not be with this pick or in the future.
