As free agency starts to wind down, all eyes turn to the NFL draft, where the Chicago Bears are hoping to fill many holes.

Although the team managed to stay competitive in the majority of its games, there was a serious lack of talent that held them back, especially after Roquan Smith and Robert Quinn were traded at the deadline.

The team already made headlines earlier this month, trading the first overall selection to the Carolina Panthers for a haul that included multiple first and second-round picks as well as wide receiver D.J. Moore.

This move has set the table for the Bears to be one of the busiest teams on draft weekend. As of now, the team has ten draft picks, with six coming in the first four rounds.

As a rebuilding team, the Bears have no shortage of holes. While teams at the top of the standings often have one or two major needs, Chicago has several, and not even double-digit draft picks make filling them an easy task.

Free agency is crucial to building a franchise and shouldn’t be overlooked, but the meat and potatoes of a winning team come from the draft, as getting high-quality players on cheap deals opens up opportunities elsewhere.

The Bears already added several quality players in last year’s draft, and they will look to do the same in 2023. But unlike a year ago, the Bears possess the resources to make some big moves.

Without further ado, here are the Chicago Bears' biggest positional needs entering the 2023 Draft, and possible players that could fill them.
