Chicago Bears 2023 season betting preview: Super Bowl odds, win total prediction, prop bets and more
The Chicago Bears finished with the worst record in the NFL last season, so there's no where to go but up for the 2023 season.
The upcoming campaign is time for the team to determine if Justin Fields is going to be the franchise quarterback that had hoped he would be. Luckily for Bears fans, oddsmakers have faith that Chicago will take a significant step in the right direction this season.
I broke down my best bet for this Bears team in my "32 bets for 32 teams" article, which you can read here.
In this article, I'm going to breakdown all of the available betting odds for the Bears for the upcoming season, including their projected win total and odds to make the playoffs.
Chicago Bears Super Bowl 58 odds
The Chicago Bears may improve this season, but oddsmakers don't expect them to be actual Super Bowl contenders. At +6000 odds, they have an implied probability of 1.64% to lift the Lombardi Trophy.
Chicago Bears win total prediction for the 2023 season
As you can tell by their win total projection, oddsmakers have high hopes that the Bears will take a step forward this season. They finished with just three wins last season, but now have a projected win total of 7.5, meaning Vegas expects them to finish either 7-10 or 8-9.
Sure, that's still a losing record, but that's still an improvement of four or five wins. I don't think Bears fans can complain too much about that.
Don't sewer me Bears fans, but I'm taking the UNDER 7.5 wins at plus-money.
Chicago Bears odds to win the NFC North
The Bears have the longest odds to win the NFC North at +430, meaning a $100 would profit you $430 if they manage to pull it off.
Sure, it's not encouraging to see they have the longest odds amongst the four teams, but the bright side is the division is relatively wide open. There's no Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles the Bears need to deal with. If the Bears exceed expectations and the other three teams underperform, the NFC North is very much alive for them.

Chicago Bears odds to make the playoffs
Not only is the NFC North relatively weak this season, but the NFC as a whole is the much weaker conference this season. That means the wild card spots are wide open and are up for grabs for any of the 16 teams, the Bears included.
It also helps the Bears that they have the sixth easiest schedule this season based on opponent projected win total.
At +175 odds, the Bears have a 36.36% chance of making the NFL postseason. Not bad.
Best Chicago Bears season-long prop bet
This is a fantastic bet to place. As long as Justin Fields remains healthy this season, he should have no problem finishing with the most rushing yards amongst all NFL quarterbacks. Last year, he led quarterbacks with 1,143 rushing yards, 379 more than the next closest quarterback.
Naturally, he also led quarterbacks with 76.2 rushing yards per game.
At +175, this bet seems like a no-brainer.
