2024 second-round picks for the Chicago Bears

With back-to-back picks in the second round, the Bears go with back-to-back trench picks with pick 38 being edge rusher Laiatu Latu out of UCLA and pick 39 being center Sedrick Van Pran out of Georgia.

Latu very well might find himself being selected in the first round of the draft but end up falling back to the second due to medical concerns. In his second year of college, Latu had to medically retire due to a severe neck injury. But since returning with UCLA he has been a force to be reckoned with and should make a fun tandem with Jared Verse for the Bears.

Van Pran is viewed as the top center in the draft and with all the rumors around the Bears in the 2023 NFL Draft regarding the center position it's easy to see why the Bears would pull the trigger this year on one. His football IQ and strong build are the main factors why he should be decent at the next level.
