Chicago Bears 7-round Mock Draft
The Chicago Bears select 128th Tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford Minnesota
The Bears have Cole Kmet as their number one guy and he has been great this season but Tonyan and Lewis are both going to hit the free-agent market at the end of the year. Even if the Bears do bring back one of those guys they should look to add a tight end in the draft.
Spann-Ford is a massive body at 6'7 270 pounds with good hands and is someone who could turn into a redzone monster for the Bears. He is a contested catch freak using his body to outmuscle defenders.
Spann-Ford however is really only going to be a redzone guy due to him not being able to create a ton of separation and runaway from defenders once the ball is in his hands.
The Chicago Bears select 133rd edge rusher Darius Robinson Missouri
The Bears double-dip into the edge rusher spot just like the wideout spot to really try and improve that room with young talent. Adding Robinson will bring good depth and rotation to the edge rushing room for the Bears. Going from a weakness to a strength by adding to young players.
Robinson is 6'5 295 with the ability to play both on the edge and inside with the ability to be a good pass rusher and run defender. He uses his long arms and violent hands to get by bloackers with a powerful bull rush.
He has a motor that won't quit but from time to time he will outrun a play and he does need to get more consistent at shedding his blocks at the next level.
