A look at the Chicago Bears best draft picks over the last 10 years

Chicago Bears 2022 NFL Draft: Jaquan Brisker, S
Selection: Second Round (48th overall)
The Bears were without a first-round pick in this draft; a common theme for this list. They did, however, have multiple second-round picks and acquired several Day 3 picks by trading back.
It’s probably too soon to know for certain who will end up being the best pick from this class. Kyler Gordon had a solid finish to his rookie season, and Braxton Jones has a chance to be a diamond in the rough. But with what we’ve seen so far, it would be hard to give that title to anyone not named Jaquan Brisker.
In his one season with the Bears, Brisker was as good as advertised. He was a true Swiss Army knife for a limited defense and was one of the few playmakers on the entire roster. Brisker’s versatility and knack for making plays made him hard to miss on the field. Had it not been for Sauce Gardner and Tariq Woolen’s incredible rookie seasons, Brisker may have even gotten some consideration for Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Eddie Jackson’s resurgence and Brisker’s solid play as a rookie have offered stability at safety, and the position looks to be one of the team’s strong spots in 2023.
