A look at the Chicago Bears best draft picks over the last 10 years

Chicago Bears 2017 NFL Draft: Eddie Jackson, S
Selection: Fourth Round (112th overall)
Just mentioning the 2017 draft is enough to make Bears fans quiver. No matter how good Justin Fields ends up becoming, no one will ever forget how the Bears passed on Patrick Mahomes.
But for the sake of this article, the Mitchell Trubisky and Adam Shaheen picks will be put on the back burner.
While the Bears may have struck out on their first two picks, they got a primetime played in the fourth round in Eddie Jackson. The Alabama product, in all likelihood, would’ve gone in the first two rounds had it not been for a broken leg he suffered in college.
The injury made it so he couldn’t participate in pre-draft testing, and there was uncertainty regarding how soon he could return to action. The pick ultimately paid off as Jackson has made multiple Pro Bowls with the Bears and returned to form with a stellar 2022.
Grabbing Jackson Day 2 would have been a good pick, but securing a future All-Pro Day 3 makes this pick a no-brainer.
Chicago also snagged a future Pro Bowler in Tarik Cohen later that round, making for arguably the best single round of drafting of Ryan Pace’s tenure.
