The Chicago Bears put up 20 points last week vs. the Packers while allowing 38 on defense. It was a bust of a game on many levels. The offense couldn't get into a rhythm. The defense was getting thrashed and couldn't get off the field. Special teams was the only area I didn't have any concerns about.

That game is over and the Chicago Bears are now on the road in Tampa Bay. The Bears find themselves 0-1 while the Bucs are 1-0 after beating the Vikings. Tampa Bay has a solid defense and with both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin at wide receiver, this will not be an easy matchup for the Bears defensive backfield. I am hoping for a repeat performance by Jaylon Johnson. Johnson only allowed one catch for 13 yards vs. the Packers. He was targeted three times. We can expect him to match up with Evans for most of the game.

The offensive line and defensive line were worse than the defensive backs though. This will not be an easy test as the Buccanneers proved to be formidable in the trenches. If the Chicago Bears cannot generate pressure on Baker Mayfield or keep Justin Fields upright, then it will be a long day for this historic franchise. The Bears couldn't generate pressure outside of Yannick Ngakoue occasionally getting through. He was the only player to sack Jordan Love. On the other side of things, the interior of the offensive line was awful throughout most of the game and Justin Fields was sacked four times.

Despite the poor performances, there are a few players I expect to bounce back this week.
