Trade Number 2: The Bears deal Chase Claypool to pair with Patrick Mahomes

The Kansas City Chiefs were a surprise in Week 1 due to their loss, at home, to the Detroit Lions. The Chiefs found out closer to game time that they would be without tight end Travis Kelce, which made things a lot more difficult on the offensive game plan.

Without Kelce, the Chiefs had to depend on rookie wideout Rashee Rice, second-year receiver Skyy Moore and veterans like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, among others. In the end, those wide receivers along with Blake Bell and Noah Gray simply weren't enough to make an impact against Detroit.

Sure, Patrick Mahomes is good enough to win games and make plays regardless of who he's throwing to. But, maybe it's time for the Chiefs to add another impactful playmaker, even though they will be getting Kelce back soon.

Claypool is a bigger body that Mahomes could (hopefully) depend on in situations where he's scrambling and needs to find that security blanket not named Kelce. Like Buffalo, Kansas City would be an environment where Claypool could potentially thrive because it is a winning organization and locker room.
