4. Darnell Mooney, WR
The wide receiver position is a spot where the Bears need to find some stable depth, and on one hand, they could have it if they re-signed Darnell Mooney. He is a proven talent and knows this team, knows his quarterback and has been an example of a dependable target in Chicago when there haven't been many of those in recent years.
But, Mooney's market as a free agent is going to be interesting to watch. He is coming off his worst season as a pro, posting career lows in receptions, yards and touchdowns. He was not a focal point of the offense and, at times, you might have been able to tell he was frustrated.
I think Mooney's future has a lot to do with what the Bears decide to do at quarterback, specifically in the draft. If Chicago doesn't plan on taking a quarterback in the draft, then we could see Marvin Harrison Jr. in a Bears uniform, which would ultimately make it easy to let Mooney walk.
However, if the Bears go a different direction at quarterback, then Mooney might be an easy guy to re-sign, especially because he won't be terribly expensive and is, in fact, a capable WR2. This offense has the opportunity to succeed with Mooney and D.J. Moore as the top two receivers. That's not a question.
