Well, for those Chicago Bears fans rooting for the best possible draft standing at the end of the season, Week 11 couldn't have gone any better.
We saw some competitive football from these Bears, against a great NFC contender and division rival. The Bears dominated time of possession and the turnover battle. Justin Fields played good football in his return.
Yet, Chicago still lost the game in Bears fashion. Who's to blame? We've got four guys, in particular.
1. Darnell Wright
For the most part this season, Darnell Wright has played well as a rookie. He's shown there is a reason the Bears took him as high as they did in the draft. But, when push came to shove late in the game on Sunday, it was Wright who gave up the game-sealing play for Detroit.
With 29 seconds left, Fields dropped back to pass and Wright was beaten badly by Aidan Hutchinson, who went in for a strip-sack that led to a safety and, ultimately, the end of the game. Had Wright not given up that sack, who knows whether or not Fields would have been able to lead the Bears down for a game-tying field goal and a bid into overtime.
