The top 3 most disappointing Chicago Bears from Week 2 vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Chicago Bears have plenty of people to point the 'finger of blame' at after their Week 2 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Players on both sides of the ball were disappointing for the Chicago Bears, and if this ship wants to turn around, something needs to change.

No. 2 Chicago Bears disappointment from Week 2: Matt Eberflus

Piggybacking off the slide prior, Matt Eberflus should absolutely be on the hot seat— or at least the warm seat.

In two games, the defensive mastermind, Matt Eberflus, has coached up a defense that has let up 766 yards in two games. Within those 766 yards, the Chicago Bears have given up 65 points in total.

All-in-all, Matt Eberflus has done a really poor job overall. Not just defensively, but as a coach. So far, the Chicago Bears have been absolutely out-coached by both the Packers and the Buccaneers.

If asked, Matt Eberflus would struggle to adjust a thermostat; that's where we're at this season.

While there's certainly blame to go around throughout the entire organization, it'd be silly to say Eberflus is anything close to proud of what's been seen from the Bears so far.

The icing on this diabolical cake was what Matt Eberflus had to say on ESPN1000 about the pick-six Justin Fields threw on the goal line late in the fourth quarter.

"That play is a really good play versus that coverage, the halfback screen... I thought [the play call] was a good decision there, we just need to execute better."

Not only was it arguably a great play call by most fans watching from their couches, but Lavonte David said it himself in his post-game interview with the media. The entire defense knew what was coming.

Later on in coach Eberflus' interview with ESPN Chicago, he goes on to say Justin Fields is able to audible out of a play. So, which is it? Was it a great play call, or does he want Fields to stick with the 'great play' called in his helmet?

In his second season as the Chicago Bears' head coach, there haven't been all that many bright spots.

Under Matt Eberflus since his first day on the job, the Bears are 3-16, with 12 of those losses being a continuous streak. And while a 12-game losing streak is a hard pill to swallow, it gets more disappointing.

No team in NFL history has lost 12 games in a row, while also giving up 25 points or more in each loss.

Just a reminder, that record is under a defensive-minded head coach. Something to ponder.
