Chicago Bears fans should watch Joe Alt, OT (Notre Dame vs. Ohio State)

One of the draft's top-rated tackles is going to be put to the test in what is another heavy-weight bout this weekend when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Both teams currently sit with perfect records.

Joe Alt has been part of an offensive line that has allowed only four sacks and over 800 rushing yards in the first four games this season. However, this is going to be a massive test for not only Alt but the whole line. Now they have to face guys like J.T. Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, and Michael Hall who are all slated to be picked in the upcoming NFL draft.

If Alt can have a good game, continue to keep his QB clean, and open up run lanes this could be a game that officially slots him in as a top-ten player. The Chicago Bears just drafted Darnell Wright to play right tackle. Last year, they selected Braxton Jones who has been holding down the left tackle spot. Joe Alt could be better than both of them and Ryan Poles should keep a close eye on him.
