Charles Omenihu is a name the Chicago Bears should look into signing

Another player who can fill a massive void on the Chicago Bears roster, former San Francisco 49er Charles Omenihu would be an interesting addition in the coming days. In four seasons between the Houston Texans and the 49ers, Omenihu has only notched 67 tackles and 11.5 sacks, but this last season, the defensive end seemed to find his footing, recording a career high 4.5 sacks and 20 tackles after appearing in every game (mostly in a reserve role).

Despite a lack of experience as a productive starter, the 6'5", 280 lb lineman could enjoy an elevated role in Chicago. With few defensive lineman established on the current roster, taking a flyer on a young player like Omenihu could be worth it if he is able to reach his full potential. At his size, he is most likely a 4-3 defensive end, but could even see time as an interior rusher on third down or obvious passing situations. Omenihu might not be the biggest name available, but it would be interesting to see what he could do in Chicago with more opportunities to get after the passer.
