3rd Round, Pick #64: Joe Tippmann, C

The jumbo-sized center out of Wisconsin is yet another scheme fit for a run-first offense for the Bears. Tippmann stands at a massive 6 '6 which is big for any lineman, let alone a center, which is not exactly ideal for a center to be frank, but his long arms make up for it as they are a massive help in the run game. Tippmann can move with the best of them which is a great asset to have that is simply not teachable.

Tippmann’s biggest decider is how he fairs against pass rushers at the next level as his 6’6 frame is not ideal for pass blocking as his high pad level can be a concern. Nonetheless, Tippmann is great value at the end of what would normally be the second round.
