Chicago Bears 4th-Round Picks

4th Round, Pick #103: Jayden Reed, WR

Getting to bolster an already solid receiver core with a natural separator in Reed is a no-brainer pick in the 4th round. Reed has a great ceiling and the sky might be the limit for the Michigan State alumni, who grew up in the Chicago Area.

Reed is a great runner after the catch and is also a very aggressive pass catcher in the contested catch game, even with his size. Reed wasn’t a very high-production WR in college which can be attributed to the lack of talent around him and QB play that didn’t do him any favors. Reed is an older prospect as he will be 23 come the draft, but this is late in the draft, but beggars can't be choosers.

4th Round, Pick #133: Byron Young, IDL

Byron Young out of Alabama is not the highest ceiling pick of all time, but his value is his very high floor. Young’s size and strength make him a consistent contributor in the run game, and his ability to devour double teams makes him an instant contributor at the next level. This fits in great with the Bears who were volatile at defending the run, especially after the Roquan Smith trade.
