1. Chicago Bears want big athletes

A common thread with the Chicago Bears 2023 NFL Draft class is that there are a lot of big bodies and big athletes. He drafted some size last year, and both defensive backs he drafted were high-caliber athletes. When asked about this Poles noted that this is a big man's game, and the biggest, strongest, and fastest usually find a way to be the best.

So, if you are looking for the next Tarik Cohen to be on the Chicago Bears, you may be looking in another direction. We saw firsthand that the team passed on Peter Skoronski for Darnell Wright. They did not view Skoronski as a tackle, and they had Wright as the top tackle. Maybe they liked Skoronski as a guard, but they do not want their franchise left tackle to be undersized in any way.

Tyrique Stevenson is big and long, and Terrell Smith brings a lot of arm length as well to press in coverage. Noah Sewell is almost too big to be a linebacker in today's game, and some wonder if he can play edge. However, we see with Tremaine Edmunds that {oles probably likes his linebackers big.

Next. 3 Stats Bears must know about Gervon Dexter. dark

Ryan Poles wants to be the biggest team and when you start with Gervon Dexter and Darnell Wright, you are going in the right direction. Any players who are outliers due to their size at any position have to be questioned. There is a role and a place for some of the smaller guys, but if there is a bigger player of a similar caliber, Poles will always lean toward the big boys.
