Since the Bears will most likely draft a rookie quarterback to lead their team for the 2024 season, this trade becomes intriguing for both parties. The Bears are projected to draft USC star quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, according to CBS Sports' mock draft.

For both teams, the trade is solid on paper. The Bears receive a stash of draft picks that could potentially include a first-rounder, while the Steelers get a quarterback to compete for the starting job with Pickett. The Steelers hold the No. 20 pick in the draft, which could be the Bears if this deal works out.

As the Bears enter the third year of their rebuild with head coach Matt Eberflus, it would be nice to have as many draft picks as possible. There's a lot of holes on this roster that still need to be filled and the draft picks from this trade would be a huge help in getting the Bears back on track toward competing for the NFC North title.
