If the Chicago Bears decide to trade Justin Fields to make room for a new quarterback in the draft, they have a perfect trade partner in the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Should Chicago Bears trade Justin Fields to Pittsburgh Steelers?

The AFC North team is desperately looking to bring a quarterback to the Steel City to compete with starter Kenny Pickett, who endured a sophomore slump that hurt the Wild Card playoff team down the stretch. Since the Bears will most likely draft a rookie quarterback to lead their team for the 2024 season, this trade becomes intriguing for both parties. The Bears are projected to draft USC star quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, according to CBS Sports' mock draft.

For both teams, the trade is solid on paper. The Bears receive a stash of draft picks that could potentially include a first-rounder, while the Steelers get a quarterback to compete for the starting job with Pickett. The Steelers hold the No. 20 pick in the draft, which could be the Bears if this deal works out.

As the Bears enter the third year of their rebuild with head coach Matt Eberflus, it would be nice to have as many draft picks as possible. There's a lot of holes on this roster that still need to be filled and the draft picks from this trade would be a huge help in getting the Bears back on track toward competing for the NFC North title.

This trade would benefit Fields, as well. It puts him in a situation he can succeed in.

Fields in the Steelers offense would be electric. This isn't the Steelers of old built on hard-nosed defense. They are loaded with talent on offense.

An X-factor Fields brings to the table is he would be the first running quarterback in Pittsburgh in almost 20 years. His ability to scramble out of the pocket and make something happen is a game changer.

Fields has also been linked to the Las Vegas Raiders and the New England Patriots, per Bleacher Report.
