3 Teams that should call the Chicago Bears about trading for Justin Fields

Many fans are calling for the Chicago Bears to trade Justin Fields. Only three teams come to mind that could possibly be interested and have draft capital to make it happen.

Jets should ask the Chicago Bears about a Justin Fields trade

I think it would be difficult to imagine the New York Jets making a trade for another quarterback after they sent four picks (only lost two) to the Packers for Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers played four snaps before going down with an Achilles injury that is going to sideline him for the full 2023 season.

Zach Wilson is back under center but he has not looked good. He completed only 50% of his passes for 157 yards in a loss to the Patriots on Sunday. In nearly three full games, Wilson had two touchdowns and four interceptions. The Jets were built to win now outside of the quarterback position and that's why they made the move for Rodgers. They found out last year that Wilson wasn't the answer they were looking for so they pivoted. Maybe, they decide to pivot again.

If the Jets want to call the Chicago Bears about a potential trade, they don't have many draft assets to use. The team only has five picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. The best I can see here is the Jets sending their 2024 third-round pick or possibly a 2025 second-round pick. Let's face it, Fields isn't going to cost a team a first-round pick anymore. Trey Lance went to the Cowboys for a fourth-rounder and Joshua Dobbs went to the Cardinals for a fifth-rounder, but the Cardinals had to send a seventh-round pick back in return with Dobbs.
