Many fans are calling for the Chicago Bears to trade Justin Fields. Only three teams come to mind that could possibly be interested and have draft capital to make it happen.

Commanders should call the Chicago Bears about a Justin Fields trade

Many fans of the game were excited to see how well the Washington Commanders offense started off the season. Fans and analysts were cheering on Eric Bienemy, the Chiefs' former offensive coordinator, who kept being interviewed but passed up for head coaching spots. The wheels fell off in Week 3 though and despite a hot start for Sam Howell, he looked lost against Buffalo.

In the first two weeks, Howell threw for 501 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Last week he only threw for 170 yards, was sacked nine times, and threw four interceptions. It's possible that it was an outlier game for Howell, but let's remember he was only a fifth-round pick in 2022. It would be interesting to see if Bienemy can help unlock Justin Fields.

Furthermore, Washington has some solid draft capital to work with that could help them secure Justin Fields. The Commanders own one pick in each round. Just like the New York trade scenario I mentioned, I do not see the Commanders sending anything better than a third-rounder. That's likely Fields' going rate right now. If Ryan Poles wanted to push for a second-round pick in return for the young quarterback who is still on his rookie deal with another two years worth of potential control, then he will probably need to send a lower pick in return. Think a second for Fields and a fifth.
