Trade Number 4 with the Denver Broncos

Finally, let's get a little unorthodox here. The Broncos are another team in need of a quarterback after finally, officially announcing the release of Russell Wilson. Denver hasn't been one of the rumored teams in on Fields as of late, but they have seen their name in plenty of whispers in regards to dealing one or both of their top wide receivers in Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.

Let's say the Broncos entertain the idea of trading for Fields as what ends up being their best option available. Many Bears fans want to see the team use that no. 9 pick on a guy like Rome Odunze, but they might have to trade up in order to get the Washington wideout. In this instance, Chicago would get their WR2 in Jeudy and could keep that no. 9 selection for another position.

Broncos trade

Not only do the Bears get Jeudy, but they recoup a Day 3 pick in this deal as well, obtaining the Broncos' fifth-round selection at number 146 overall.

Jeudy is entering the fifth-year option of his rookie deal, which he'll play on, before potentially hitting free agency next year. If the Bears made a move like this, I think it would be wise for Poles to execute an extension before Jeudy gets a chance to test free agency, especially because his cost could go up after the 2024 season.

This Broncos deal might end up being the most attractive of them all if Jeudy pans out the way Bears fans would like. Just as long as he doesn't follow in the footsteps of another former Bears wide receiver like Chase Claypool.
