The Chicago Bears could target several in-state players in 2023 NFL Draft
The 2023 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away. Ryan Poles and his staff have their work cut out for them. The Chicago Bears currently hold ten selections in the draft, and Poles’ propensity to trade back could lead to even more draft capital.
The possibilities on draft night are truly endless. There are dozens of players from all over the country that would look good in navy and orange.
As fun as putting together mock drafts and big boards can be, predicting the draft is rather futile. There are just too many moving parts to accurately guess who will go where ahead of time, especially in the later rounds.
However, just because we can’t say for certain where particular players will end up doesn’t mean we can’t entertain these possibilities. This year, there are several intriguing prospects that didn’t play college ball too far from the Windy City.
While location isn’t everything, seeing prospects stay in-state is far from a novel concept. Just last year, Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett was taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers' 20th overall.
But make no mistake, these players offer a lot more than just a short commute, they are legitimate professional prospects. Additionally, many of these players would fill major needs and be valuable contributors from day one.
With the 2023 NFL Draft just days away, here are three local prospects that could wind up in Halas Hall.
