Round 3, 64 Overall: Cory Trice, CB, Purdue

This is a great cornerback class, and it has someone like Cory Trice flying under the radar. However, in a normal cornerback draft, Trice would be the talk of the NFL draft after the NFL combine. If anyone has that Tariq Woolen vibe of being the riser who got drafted high and become a stud immediately, it could be Cory Trice. He definitely has a similar athletic profile.

Maybe the speed is not elite, but he it is above average, and with that weight, height, and arm length, you will take a 4.47 player. He also had excellent agilities, which is really impressive for his size. It speaks to his ability to sink his hips and defend tougher routes in man coverage.

Still, for now, the Chicago Bears can use him as an upgrade from Kindle Vildor. He can play outside and defend bigger receivers, while Kyler Gordon can move inside and outside and take the quicker and smaller players. They can then see Trice develop, which may impact what they do in the future at the position. For now, adding a big body that checks a lot of the boxes is a nice addition.
