Round 7, 218 Overall: Anthony Johnson, S, Iowa State

The Chicago Bears did not sign DeAndre Houston-Carson. They could bring him back, but as they stand right now, they have A.J. Thomas replacing him. That is fine and well, but they could definitely add somebody to come in and push him. He is a five-year starter who has the ability to make tackles on special teams, with just enough upside that he could get some dime snaps.

Round 7, 248 Overall: Noah Gindorff, TE, North Dakota State

The Chicago Bears should add a tight end at some point to improve the overall depth in the room. Adding Gindorff would be a great fit because he is almost solely a blocking tight end. Cole Kmet is a better blocker than Robert Tonyan, so adding Gindorff can allow the team to flex out Kmet as a pass catcher more while still having an in-line option. Gindorff is coming off an injury and is almost just a blocker, but that is why he will be around at this point.
