Paris Johnson seems to be the favorite prospect for the Chicago Bears

Finally, the player who was selected the most in these 10 mock drafts was Paris Johnson, Jr. As you can see though, there is a theme here. Nine out of 10 of these mock drafts have the Chicago Bears selecting an offensive lineman at nine. Not a single one of them thinks they will go defense with that first pick. Honestly, I can see it going this way, but I am almost sold on them taking a defensive lineman with their first pick just because Ryan Poles will probably surprise most of them. I am fully on board with Myles Murphy at nine should Poles not trade down again.

That said, I'd have no problem with Broderick Jones or Paris Johnson either. I prefer Johnson but have them in the same tier of my rankings. Peter Skoronski would be an alright pick too, but I'd prefer they go elsewhere as I don't believe they need to spend that high of draft capital on a guard. If they do take him, be prepared for him to play tackle as I doubt they select him at nine to play guard.

Next. Ryan Poles speaks about Jalen Carter. dark

Paris Johnson is a monstrous man. He is 6'6" with extremely long arms (36-1/8"). He is lean though too at only 315 pounds. He will fit in nicely at left tackle should Poles and Matt Eberflus view Braxton jones as interchangeable to the right side. If it were me, I'd take Johnson over Jones and Murphy over any of them -- knowing there are quality offensive tackles (right side only) available in the second and third rounds.
