The Chicago Bears need to revamp the offense and Ryan Poles does just that in this 2024 NFL mock draft. However, he does it in a way that many fans would never expect.

Justin Fields Trade

With Drake Maye on the roster, Ryan Poles has to move on from Justin Fields. In fact, in this mock draft, the Fields trade took place well before Draft Day. Pittsburgh is rumored to be heavily interested in Fields, but I am holding my breath until something truly transpires. Most of what we hear right now in the media is a smokescreen from teams and agents.

If Pittsburgh wants Justin Fields, it is going to cost them more than a mid-second-round pick (51). The Steelers aren't interested in sending their first-rounder for Fields straight up, so Ryan Poles and Omar Khan agree to swap 2025 picks. Chicago sends their fourth-rounder for Pittsburgh's fifth-rounder.

Pittsburgh Steelers receive:
Justin Fields
2025 4th Round Pick

Chicago Bears receive:
1.20
2025 5th Round Pick

SItting at 20, it isn't likely that Pittsburgh will be able to move up high enough to land one of the top QB prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. Honestly, I only have four quarterbacks with first-round grades. It's definitely possible that the Steelers would see Fields as a better option than any of the mid-round prospects. Landing Fields also costs less in future draft capital.

Now, let's see what Ryan Poles does with his third first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
