Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Ryan Poles trades down twice early, doubles up at WR
Ryan Poles trades down one last time
The Chicago Bears make one final trade in this 2024 NFL mock draft. As soon as they were on the clock again at 111, the Colts called to move up. There were enough players on the board I felt comfortable with taking and therefore I accepted the Colts' offer to move down seven spots. I wasn't interested in a pick this year but gladly accepted a future pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Chicago Bears trade 4.111
Colts Receive:
4.111
Bears Receive:
4.118
2025 5th-Rounder
With the pick at 118, I looked to add some additional depth to the offensive line.
4.118 | Christian Jones, OT - Texas
Christian Jones fits the right profile type for Ryan Poles when it comes to his preference for offensive linemen. Jones stands 6'5" and weighs in at 305 pounds. Jones is someone that I see as more of a developmental type. He's not being drafted to step in and start. Instead, he's here to learn and improve. He has a tendency to keep his pad level too high at times and can get his feet out of position, losing his leverage. Jones has great arm length for a tackle and has experience playing on both sides. I can see him developing into their swing tackle.
