The Chicago Bears are entering one of the most important offseasons the franchise has faced in a long time. The third most cap space, two top ten picks in the draft, and a roster that doesn't have many holes to fill.

The first order of business for the Bears to take care of is the player currently on their roster that they will either bring back or let walk. Out of the 16 players slated to hit the open market, the Bears will likely retain only 5. CB Jaylon Johnson, DT Justin Jones, LS Patrick Scales, WR Equanimeous St. Brown, and CB Josh Blackwell.

Jaylon Johnson Will receive the franchise tag before the offseason officially gets kicked off while the others will all get short and cheap deals likely only being one year. Jaylon Johnson will make just shy under $20 million on the Franchise tag while the others won't make more than $7 million together. With all those moves settled the Bears will be entering free agency with around $51 million to spend.

The main needs for the Bears for the rest of the offseason are the #2 wideout and edge rusher, Center, the #2 tight end, and depth at most spots.
