Credit to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio for milking a few more clicks on Wednesday out of the non-story that was Chicago Bears' quarterback Caleb Williams not officially signing his rookie contract despite initial reports on Tuesday.

Mere hours after Florio's attempt to clickbait, the Bears officially tweeted out the photo of Williams signing his rookie deal.

In circumstances like this, Florio tends more to being an aggregator than someone who actually reports news. He was hung up on the idea that Williams had yet to officially sign his contract and used that to further insinuate that Williams was trying to be a disruptor.

Now, to Florio's credit, he did report on some asks from Williams' side prior to the deal being signed. Among the ideas floated by Williams' side was for the quarterback to be paid as an LLC. The other idea was for Williams to be paid through a forgivable loan. For Williams, there are tax benefits to each of those ideas, but ultimately, the ideas were nixed, and the quarterback's rookie deal is believed to be fairly standard for first-round rookies.

Kiran Amegadjie placed on the physically unable to perform list

The Chicago Bears announced on Wednesday that third-round rookie offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie was placed on the physically unable to perform list ahead of the official start of Training Camp on Friday.

Amegadjie missed most of the Bears' off-season program due to a calf injury that the Bears claim to have known about before selecting him in the 2024 NFL Draft. The hope is that Matt Eberflus will provide clarity on the rookie's status when he meets with reporters on Friday. Eberflus previously said that Amegadjie would be ready for the start of Training Camp.

Chicago Bears' wide receivers snubbed in latest ESPN Poll

In recent weeks, ESPN has released various polls of NFL personnel ranking different positions across the league. The most recent poll listed the Top 10 wide receivers in the NFL, and DJ Moore and Keenan Allen were not mentioned.

Moore was the last receiver mentioned among the honorable mentions while Allen was in a group of receivers that received a vote. If we're being honest, the biggest snub was Allen, who is coming off a career year in 2023. With consistent quarterback play from Williams, it may be no surprise to see Moore and Allen among the Top 10 next season.
