Veteran tight end Gerald Everett's stay on the non-football injury list was short. The Chicago Bears announced after practice on Sunday that Everett had been activated and would be available for practice on Monday.

Everett is a kind of forgotten addition to the Bears' offense this season. What has been a popular theme during the first two practices of the Bears' Training Camp is that rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is not afraid to get the ball out quickly and hit his check-downs if that is the only play available to him. That is where Everett will come in handy as the second tight end in the Bears' offense.

Chicago Bears add depth at linebacker.

After practice on Sunday, the Chicago Bears also signed linebacker Javin White.

White spent the 2022 Training Camp with the Bears but hasn;t appeared in a NFL game since the 2021 season when he appeared in game for each the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets. For his career, White has 4 total tackles.

This would seem to be a depth signing for the Bears as they look to round out their roster ahead of the start of their Pre-Season schedule.

Green Bay Packers sign Kenny Clark to a massive contract extension

The Green Bay Packers have locked up the anchor on their defensive line. On Sunday, the Packers agreed to a three-year contract extension with defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Credit to the Packers for doing what the Bears have yet to do, finding an impact defensive tackle and making sure they aren't going anywhere. Clark has emerged as one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL and is a reminder for the Bears of how big of a difference that can make for a defense overall.

Yannick Ngakoue to work out with the Miami Dolphins

Former Chicago Bears defensive end Yannick Ngakoue is set to work out for the Miami Dolphins on Monday. There has been an overwhelming expectation that the Bears and Ngakoue would eventually find their way back to each other this offseason but the Bears may have been waiting for the asking price to come down. Ngakoue's work out with the Dolphins could create a sense of urgency for the Bears.
